SOUTH PARK TV SHOW

Tighten your belts, all you Simpsons, American Dads and Robot Chickens as now you will have to compete with the king of all comedies, South Park, to win Emmy Award. The category they will be competing in is Outstanding Animated Program. The episode that has been picked happens to the third episode of season 13, entitled Margaritaville.

Being an ardent fan of comedies, I watch the other shows on the nomination list also. The Simpsons is also one of my hot favorites But the topic of the nominated episode Margaritaville of South Park was such that it would attract the attention of any American.

Margaritaville shows residents of South Park under pressure of recent economic meltdown. Randy takes Stan to a local bank where he invest $100 given to him by his grandmother in mutual funds only to lose it a moment later.  Other residents also come and lose their money so Randy suggests austerity to fight this recession. This suggestion is snubbed by Kyle, who has the opinion that people must have faith in the economy for it to revive. This suggestion is enough for Randy and the council to decide that they need to kill Kyle off.

Kyle is portrayed as Jesus like savior, ready to sacrifice everything he has to save the economy, the pizza he has with his friends is the parody of The Last Supper. Cartman dons the mantle of Judas and agrees to betray Kyle in exchange of a copy of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. In the end Kyle pays off the debts of all South Park inhabitants with his American Express Platinum Card while his mother begs him not to do so as it will land him in a debt for life.

The episode winds up with news report recognizing Barack Obama as the knight in shining armor who saved South Park’s economy and Kyle responding indignantly (”Aw, come on!”) to the news.

The awards will be announced on September 20th, 2009 at the 61st annual Primetime Emmy Awards Ceremony.

At least I don’t know… not sure about you! Really, buddy its’ very irritating when you search for some latest news about your favorite TV shows and get nothing. The very same happened with me today, actually I was looking for the storyline of season 13 opener, scheduled to be aired on March 11^th, 2009.

Nothing is anywhere… not even a single word about the storyline, in fact no words on the name of the episode! I hardly came to know the airing dates and that was it. Why are they not revealing the details when only a few days are left? What’s the need to keep it so confidential? I hope, it’s not gonna be postponed.

What happens normally is- we get the details including title, storyline etc several days ahead of the original airing. But don’t know what’s wrong this time…. So irritating and irksome!

Anyways, let’s see what happens as we have no official words to say! Hey… Is there anybody to predict its future… I’d like to know LOLa! Series has been my personal favorite since its premiere and I loved all seasons of South Park. The recent season 12, was also so good and entertaining. 181 episodes have been aired yet and I must say that each one delivered better than the previous one. I’ve downloaded all episodes of series and watch whenever I start missing South Park.

For me, this is the best animation series. There’re several other animated hits such as ‘Family Guy’ and ‘The Simpsons’ etc but South Park is distinct among the crowd. It’s magic bag is always full of new surprises and that’s what I most like about ‘South Park’.

Well, as of now, I am dying to know the status of the thirteenth season of South Park… Hey let me know plz!

It’ll take time to air the 13th season of the every popular animation show ‘South Park, so why not let’s talk about the 12th season of ‘South Park’, before we catch the new episodes?

Season 12 of South Park came to an end on November 19, 2008 and the season finale was entitled ‘The Ungroundable’. In this episode, we saw that the kids were playing a computer game ‘Call of Duty: World at War’. At that time, Butters came in with a murmuring voice. He was sure that he had seen a vampire at the school. But his trouble was that he couldn’t get anyone to listen to him and of course, no one trusted him. Cartman asked him to document the movements of vampires and their intentions as well. Ultimately, he sneaked into the school gym so that he could tape their talks. Poor Butters… his tape recorder went wrong and he found himself naked in front of the vampires. He ran away using his cross.

On the other hand, we saw Goth kids dealing with troubles when the other kids couldn’t tell the difference between a Goth and a vampire. Goth kids and Vamp kids had an encounter. Butters’ confrontation with his parents made him to believe that no one would listen to him; in fact no one had ever listened to him. Later, he started thinking that becoming a vampire would surely help him out. Ultimately, he asked Vamp kids to let him join them and it resulted in a change of his appearance.

He returned home and as we all expected, his new look perturbed his parents and they became very angry at his tardiness and dyed hair. More shocking for them was when Butters said that he was ‘ungroundable’. What happened next…. Nay, I am not going to disclose it any way. South Park people are really wonderful. I am just fan of the writers especially, as they give very interesting names to the episodes along with a strong storyline enough to spell bound. The last episode I saw was ‘Super Fun Time’. This is called the creativity that writers made an educational trip memorable. In this episode, all the kids go for an educational field trip to a living museum. But our dear Cartman is always fond of some different kind of fun so he forces Butters to sneak away from the class and to go to amusement center next door. Then, comes the funniest part of the episode. This mischief of Cartman proves to be lucky for him and Butters. As when rest of the kids are learning about the good old days in Colorado, a group of thieves break into the museum and take everyone hostage. I laughed hard on this scene.

Then the whole team manages to get rid of those thieves and it becomes the adventure trip for kids instead of being an educational trip. I did get this episode downloaded and saved in my Pc. On this weekend, I and my gang enjoyed this episode at my home.

We laughed more at the title than the episode that the writer calls it the super fun time for kids. I loved the previous episodes of the show too and I hardly miss any of the episodes. I am regularly searching the details of the coming episodes’ story line.

South Park is one of best animated series which I ever watched on TV and I am a great fan of series. South Park is one of those series who made anime popular in TV world and many other anime series are created only after the huge success of South Park. South Park has successfully completed its 11 seasons and now the series is currently running with season 12.
